Archana completed her Master’s degree in Sociology from Bangalore University in 1993. After her marriage she did her short course in travel and tourism and worked with a travel agent for four years while her husband was working in the US. After that she took a break to bring up her children who were small.
Later she joined MYRADA, a rural development agency head quartered in Bengaluru and working in the rural areas of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Archana is talented in arts and crafts and developed interest in quilting as a hobby and occasionally took orders for customised quilts.
Now her children have grown up. She is ready to take up some voluntary work with Cheshire Homes and initially joinedto assist Cheshire Homes to set up an outreach programme for our ex residents which had to be shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown.
She joined Cheshire Homes as Life Member in October 2019, she came on the committee in June 2020 and took over as Secretary from October 2020.
